    Frank is a leading expert and pioneer in creating high performing software teams, and pays particular attention to how leadership plays a key role in success and failure of agile teams. What sets Frank’s work apart is his focus on the people on the teams. The people and their leadership, communication, and working relationships make the difference.  

    For over 30 years, Frank has been transforming software teams at organizations including NASA, Computer Associates(CA), Computer Sciences Corporation(CSC), Verizon(GTE), U.S. Army(USA), U.S. Navy(USN), U.S. Air Force(USAF), Luxottica, Wacom, Mylan Pharmaceutical, ThyssenKrupp and 84.51°. He has worked across many different industries including; Oil & Gas, Defense, Software, Government, CPGs, Industrial, Healthcare, Construction, Manufacturing, and Pharmaceuticals.  

    Today, Frank focuses on using agile principles and values to help empower and transform organizations. His deep understanding of lean and agile principles, the traditional software development lifecycle, and their respective benefits and shortcomings allows him to improve results on even the most complex projects.

    Throughout Frank’s software career he has also used or implemented extreme programming, pair programing, and other techniques to accelerate the effectiveness of teams.  

    He has participated in software projects as a leader of Architecture, Development, Requirements, Design, and Test, as well as Program and Project roles. He has spent the last 20 years primarily focused on the transformation of software teams in various roles, including Scrum Master, consultant, and coach. Frank is especially known for bringing professional executive coaching techniques to bear on complex and challenging technology problems.

    As a developer, Frank has worked with multiple technologies and has held technical roles as a DBA, system administrator, and network administrator. He has been a developer in several languages including sql, Java, and big data environments.

    Frank started his career in the United States Navy serving on nuclear powered submarines. He spent a total of 11 years in the Navy and was a member of the crew that built the USS Atlanta (SSN 712). He holds a BSCIS and has done graduate work in Software Engineering. He is a SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Computer Professional (CCP), Disciplined Agilest (DA), ICAgile Agile Certified Coach (ICP-ACC) and Certified Executive Coach (CEC). He is also a certified speaker, trainer, and coach, with the John Maxwell Team.
