Inaccurate requirements gathering consistently ranks in the top three causes of project failure, yet only half of organizations have the resources in place to perform this function properly per the Project Management Institute’s “Pulse of the Profession®” research.

The report also notes that in the next five years, more than fifty percent of organizations intend to integrate their project management and business analysis (BA) practices. Many of these same organizations report that they don't have the necessary resources to achieve the required integration, driving up demand for skilled BA professionals.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that BA jobs will increase 19 percent by 2022, further demonstrating the growing need for BA professionals.

Now is the time to advance your career and become the certified expert your organization needs. If you work with stakeholders in defining requirements, shaping project outputs and driving intended business outcomes, the PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA®) certification will hone and spotlight your valuable skills.

A PMI-PBA® certification highlights your expertise in business analysis and demonstrates your ability to work effectively to define business requirements, shape the output of projects and drive successful business outcomes in any industry.

The PMI Southwest Ohio chapter is expanding its certification preparation training to include the PMI-PBA® exam with a Fall 2017 PMI-PBA® prep class. An orientation session will be held on Thursday, September 7th from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm. The course will be hosted at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in Mason, Ohio (subject to change).
