PMI is global and you can be too! We are happy to promote an event that the PMI South Western Ontario Chapter is putting on that we thought would be of interest for our members. It is with great enthusiasm that the chapter extended an invitation to their Anti-Racism Series: Unpacking Unconscious Bias, Allyship & Action.
This 2-part virtual series will support individuals to embed principles of anti-racism. Participants will begin to critically self-reflect and examine ways to demonstrate anti-racism.
The cost is $15 CDN for both sessions. Additional event details and registration are listed here.

Session One - Unpacking Unconscious Bias
In this first session, attendees will learn about unconscious biases as they relate to their decision-making abilities and their relationships with others. Through examining where stereotypes and generalizations stem from, participants will recognize how unchecked biases can inadvertently result in microaggressions and unintended harm.
|August 10th, 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm EST||
Session Two - Allyship & Action
In the second session, participants will learn how to promote equity and inclusion. The concepts of allyship and advocacy will offer concrete ways to be models for others how to do the same. By the end of the session attendees will be able to articulate the difference between being a non-racist and an anti-racist.
