Putting the Customer at the Center of Your Transformation

Business Acumen

In today’s fast-paced environment, organizations often rush into transformation initiatives without truly understanding the needs of the people they serve. This webinar introduces practical ways to place the customer — whether that’s a child, woman, or elder — at the core of transformation efforts. Drawing from six years of experience leading agile transformation in higher education as a Product Owner, I will share how human-centered design and customer journey mapping can uncover the real problems worth solving. Participants will learn how to find what touchpoints they need to redesign to deliver meaningful outcomes that increase adoption, satisfaction, and long-term impact.

This will be an interactive session. I will guide participants through:

  • A short, live exercise mapping a simple customer journey
  • Storytelling from real transformation experiences
  • Reflection questions for participants to connect concepts to their own projects.

The focus is to move beyond theory and leave attendees with actionable practices they can apply immediately.

Project professionals are at the forefront of driving change — yet many initiatives fail because they solve the wrong problem or overlook the customer perspective. By adopting a human-centered approach, project managers can:

  • Improve stakeholder alignment by focusing on real needs, not assumptions.
  • Increase project success rates by delivering solutions that people actually use.
  • Strengthen their leadership role in guiding customer-centric transformation.

Ultimately, placing the customer at the center is not just a design choice — it’s a strategic imperative for sustainable transformation.
