Michael Lively is the Manager of Training and Documentation at Great American Insurance Company, where he leads an intern team of instructional designers. He has over 40 years of experience in software development, having worked as a QA Architect, DevOps Tech Lead, SCRUM Master, and Software Contractor. He also has a rich background, having served in the Military, as an Educator, Department Chair, and Director of Instructional Design. He holds a Ph.D. (all but dissertation) in Nuclear Physics, a master’s degree in physics, a BSEE in Electrical Engineering, a BS in Chemistry, and a BA in Mathematics. He is a PMI-ACP, CPCU, and Microsoft Certified Trainer with numerous certifications in Google, AWS, and Azure cloud technologies. He is a frequent speaker at a global Cloud Meetup that he organizes and has presented at national and local events, such as the BDPA and the Ohio Learning Network.
