Too Many Projects, Too Little Space

Airport Owners across the Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana, the United States and throughout the world are tackling much needed Airport Development programs in diverse complex environments. This session will focus on the logistical coordination needed to successfully carry out these airport development programs. This case study presented by KDG Construction Consulting will discuss an innovative organizational method we will call “Coordinated Oversight Organizational Logistics” (COOL).

The COOL process and procedures are developed within the Program Management division of large and mid-size airports across the country.  This process was developed at the planning stage to deal with the large, complex construction activities that would commence in a space-constrained major or medium size airport.  The goal was to develop a plan to alleviate construction-related impacts to both passengers, tenants and Airport Operations.
